Ian Bell joined Bluestar AMG in 2019, bringing with him more than 28 years of experience in financial services (or over 30 if you count his university years immersed in the subject). Having previously worked with Garbon Intercapital and a range of international advisory firms in Shanghai, Ian has developed deep cross-border expertise in wealth management for expatriates.

Ian holds a degree in Financial Services and is CISI qualified, with a strong foundation in global financial advisory standards. He is known for his strategic and client-centric approach to financial planning, placing a strong emphasis on the value of time and compound interest in long-term wealth building.

When not advising clients, Ian can often be found going on long walks in the countryside, rummaging through the bushes and occasionally hitting a golf ball straight. He is a proud member of the OCC (a world-renowned curry club) and starts most days with a cold shower and plunge, a ritual he swears by for clarity and resilience.
